SUPPORTING SCHOLARSHIPS FOR LOCAL GRADUATES
The Brownsburg Community Association's first fundraiser of the year, an evening of good music, good food and good company in the barn at Wade's Mill.
The barn dance is a fundraiser for the BCA’s annual scholarship program. Two $1200 scholarships will be awarded this year to local high school graduates to attend a degree granting institution or a vocational center to further their education. The BCA has awarded $15,500 in scholarships to 19 students since 2017.
Enjoy a delicious meal from Hogback Mountain BBQ followed by great music from Rockbridge County's hometown band, The Late Night Stumblers.
Food served 6-7 p.m. followed by Music 7- 9:30 p.m.
Ticket price includes meal (pulled chicken and bun, potato salad, cole slaw and dessert) and ice tea. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.
You will not receive a physical ticket for the Barn Dance. You will receive a follow-up email from the Barn Dance Committee confirming your ticket purchase and your name will be on the guest list at the check-in table at Wade's Mill.
The food service and dining area is wheelchair and walker accessible but the band/dance area is accessed by stairs.
No outside food or beverages are permitted at the event. Tickets are non-refundable.
Fun Fact: the barn at Wade’s Mill is the former Patterson Mill, moved from its original location on Hays Creek in Brownsburg to its current location in 1906 and refurbished in 2021.
